TOP 1 Oil is proud to be a Gold Level Sponsor of the SAE International Supermileage Competition being held on June 4-5, 2015 in Marshall, Michigan. This event features teams of engineering and technology students from around the world competing to see who’s designed and built the most fuel-efficient, single-person vehicle. Teams are awarded points based on design, presentation, and fuel economy.

At TOP 1, we know firsthand the importance of innovation in developing high-quality engine lubricants. Our support of this competition demonstrates our commitment to the education of the world’s young engineers to make significant advancements in the area of fuel efficiency.

Our participation in the SAE International Supermileage Competition is also a reflection of our ongoing commitment to bringing the best fuel eco lubricants to the market. TOP 1 Oil is also pleased to be partnering with the University of South Alabama “Endurance USA” engineering team. The team, which will compete at the SAE International Supermileage event, has designed a vehicle that can achieve an estimated fuel economy of 2,500 miles per gallon.

"Last year we finished 13th among 29 schools,” said Chris Hanley, the Project Lead for ‘Endurance USA,’ “but our ambitions are even higher now. We are aiming for a top-five finish this year with a newer, better, smaller, and ultimately more fuel efficient vehicle."
